Assignment

ASSIGNMENT 01: Negotiation Practice

Engage in a real or simulated negotiation where you can apply the strategies discussed in this module. Focus on using techniques such as managing emotions, understanding your BATNA, and aiming for win-win outcomes. After the negotiation, reflect on the outcome. What strategies worked well? What challenges did you encounter? Document what you learned and how you might adjust your approach in the future.

ASSIGNMENT 02: BATNA Development

Identify your BATNA for an upcoming negotiation. Consider all possible alternatives and determine the best one to fall back on if the negotiation doesn’t go as planned. Plan how you’ll use this BATNA to strengthen your position during the negotiation. Reflect on how knowing your BATNA impacts your confidence and decision-making.

ASSIGNMENT 03: Reflection Exercise

Reflect on your current negotiation practices. What are your strengths? Where do you see room for improvement? Based on this reflection, develop a personal action plan to incorporate the negotiation strategies discussed in this module. Set specific goals for enhancing your negotiation skills and outline the steps you’ll take to achieve them.

These assignments are designed to help you practice and internalize the negotiation techniques introduced in this module. By engaging in real or simulated negotiations, developing your BATNA, and reflecting on your experiences, you’ll build the confidence and skills needed to negotiate effectively in any situation.
